Many years ago, I started visiting ICS to pet cats and help to keep them socialized. Having 9 cats of my own, I couldn't adopt any more, let alone foster. I got to know several fur babies who then either got adopted or crossed the bridge. I met a special cat who stole my heart, so even though I couldn't adopt, I sponsored him for many years. He finally got the grand prize of being adopted last year. The next 3 cats I sponsored have all gone to their forever homes. Just yesterday, I brought home a new family member, after losing 3 of my babies in as many years. This particular guy showed up at my house one day, very friendly and obviously well fed. I took him to ICS where they scanned him for a chip. He had one, but there was no information to lead him home. After thinking about him for the next 4 months, I decided to bring him to my home. As an adopter, sponsor and a volunteer, I can say everyone here has a heart of gold. The cats are so well taken care of and every possible avenue is taken to match people to cats for the best fit in their homes.
