Florida Yorkie Rescue healed my broken heart. In January I lost the furry love of my life, my rescued male Yorkie ,Tyler Quinn (age 16). As a former foster with a small dog rescue in N.FL, I was not surprised to find there were no younger Yorkies to be rescued anywhere. I’d been searching shelters both near & far as well as surfing the usual rescue sites without any luck at all. Then a friend sent me a link to FYR. A representative contacted me & we talked for over an hour. Once I knew which furbaby was right for me, I filled out an online application, had my references checked & a home visit completed. The day I met Prince Fábio was the 1st day I’d felt truly happy since losing my boy & I haven’t stopped smiling since. I’m so thrilled with FYR & the great work they do, that I volunteered as an “FYR transport angel”. In my opinion FL Yorkie Rescue is the ONLY place to rescue a Yorkie, Yorkie mix or a Maltese in the entire state.
