Who would have thought that such hope for the future could be unleashed in some of the poorest and most desperate places on the planet for young girls and women who have been so utterly dis-valued, demeaned and disrespected as persons! And yet, that is what Mercy Beyond Borders is accomplishing through the education of young girls who had not an ounce of hope of gaining an education in Haiti or South Sudan and who will then impact many others in their countries through the professions they will be able to enter. As well, for countless women in these countries and in neighboring African states where refugee camps abound, MBB is offering hope through its micro-enterprise endeavors that enable women to prosper and provide adequately for themselves and their families for the first time in their lives. MBB's founder, Sr. Marilyn Lacey, her staff and her Board of Directors are to be highly commended for their integrity, their expertise, and their deeply-rooted commitment to the remarkable mission of this amazing not-for-profit organization.
