Review for Extreme Missionary Adventures, Rayville, LA, USA
With every adventure, things seem to never go according to plan. But on my XMA trip, the mission never changed.
I have been on an international mission trip before. But I have never had an adventure like this one. Between delayed flights and sleepless nights, I was stressed and exhausted. But as a lady from my group said, "in these situations just give it to Jesus." Prayer became a part of my morning routine. It not only helped me through my own struggles but also reminded me of the mission, to share the Gospel of Jesus.
My group did that at the local school during the morning and afternoon sessions' recess time. In our work, none of us were assigned to just one aspect of the mission. We had the freedom to minister how the Spirit led. I saw my team flourish with that. In loving on kids and telling Bible stories, we share the love of Jesus while building our Spanish vocabulary.
God used all our gifts to help spread the gospel that week in the village.
Our plans may have changed, but we serve a God who never does. And everything worked according to His timing.
