German Shepherds have always been my breed of choice and I connected to GSROC when I adopted Angel in 2006. Two years later I found Ricco at a GSROC Petsmart event in Yorba Linda. After Ricco passed, I contacted GSROC and, because I was a caregiver for my husband and it was difficult to leave the house, Champ, a senior GSD was brought to me. A year later Champ and I went to GSROC and he picked out a buddy named Victory. So GSROC has given me four beautiful, loving companions during the past several years. The GSROC volunteers have always been very helpful and friendly. I found them to be very friendly and very generous of their time. Over a year ago I became a volunteer and because I am a senior lady and unable to handle a playful GSD, I have partnered up with a volunteer transporter and sometimes act as her navigator. It is very fulfilling to meet all of the lovely GSD’s and to hear later on of their adoption. They are the best dogs ever!
