I've been an active volunteer for only two weeks, and I'm awed by the army of "invisible" volunteers who somehow make room to foster pups, drive ill or injured animals to the vet, bake cookies for fundraisers, walk dogs on multiple campuses, update the website and Facebook postings, and even promote finding homes for the dozens of rescues that cannot receive when they are over capacity. They even have a team dedicated to personally thanking each and every donor every time a donation comes in. Every penny is spent in service to the mission: caring for these beautiful animals until their forever homes are found. Accepting more rescues, and doing it over again.
