I've been a member of a Friendship Bridge circle for almost 10 years. I have traveled to Guatemala twice on their excellent Insight trips to see first hand the impact they have on their client's lives. The Trust Bank system of loan repayment has been very successful. They are a highly rated Micro-finance organization and offer their clients so much more than just loans. There are educational programs and mentoring. Friendship Bridge facilitates health screenings through a Mayan Health for woman who may have never had any health screenings due to living in remote villages or not speaking Spanish. The clients are better able support their families, keep their kids in school and make their communities stronger. Friendship Bridge Empowers Women!

I've been a member of a local Friendship Bridge Circle for the past 8 years. I have also been fortunate enough to go on two Friendship Bridge Insight Trips to Guatemala to see first hand how Friendship Bridge has impacted its clients. Because of the support given to this organization they have been able to expand the loan programs that enable Mayan Women to create and expand businesses. The health programs gets health screenings to remote villages where many woman have never been screened for diabetes, cervical and breast cancer or had the opportunity to have reliable family planning. With support they keep expanding their services which in turn help keep the client's children in school and strengthen the entire community. Women who are successful in their own country remain home and don't become refugees. The hardworking creative staff are always looking for ways to introduce new opportunities to the clients for a better life.
