Review for Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest, Cle Elum, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest goes to great lengths to give the animals in their care the space, enrichment, natural activities, diet, clean environment, respect, attention and as much time in nature as possible I know this because they are transparent in multiple media and multiple times a day about the good, hard, and the mundane, in daily posts, videos, blogs, that inform us followers of the animals’ status, as well as teach us all about the social, psychological, physical status, needs, and characteristics of the species/sexes/social structures in each group. They’re quite generous with the details and also intertwine advocacy for the species in general; so CSNW is an all encompassing support for animals and humans alike. Thank you for the opportunity to share my belief in this great nonprofit!

Review for Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest, Cle Elum, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest is a phenomenal sanctuary for rescued research chimps. What stands out to me is their focus on giving the chimps as natural, stimulating and full lives as possible, and the respect they show each individual chimp. The chimps are given enrichment in the way of each individual’s favorite interests and intellectually stimulating challenges, lots of toys and blankets to inspire natural play and nesting behaviors, and outdoor spaces to relax in the sun or patrol like the wild. Plus top notch health care, and transparency, and updates on individuals health issues that really lets me know they care. CSNW posts daily on Facebook about that days activities and I’ve gotten to know and love each chimp, as well as each caregiver. Such a wonderful place!

Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I started following The Wild Animal Sanctuary when I started following a bear in dire need of rescue, and at the same time a group of lions, tigers, wolves, and bears were rescued from a closed sanctuary where I had volunteered. I was so impressed by their facility, their mission, and the lengths they would go to, all over the world, to rescue wild animals who would not be alive otherwise. I’ve watched countless animals transition to lives in nature instead of concrete pits, go from living in square footage to roaming acres, being rescued from people using and abusing them for money to being cared for by people at TWAS who put their quality of life before profit. I’m in love with what The Wild Animal Sanctuary does and stands for.
