Six years ago I stumbled across this organization online. I looked over their available dogs and saw one that took my heart away. At that point I began to research SSRR and learned about the in-depth lengths they go to matching dogs and families. The process was somewhat long and tedious, but I agreed with every step they took, including the home visit by a volunteer that had to drive a good distance to visit. We went to visit Beau in Texas and the love only deepened and my wife was taken by how well he took to both of us. The Foster had done a great job and recognized what a good match it was during our visit at a dog park. Home he came. We immediately had him checked by our local Vet and discovered he had Heart Worms, his second bout. SSRR stood with us for the next year as we went through the process to take care of him. Gave guidance and took care of a large part of the expense. We have dealt with a number of the officers and their professionalism, expertise and compassion are unbelievable. I continue to recommend them to anyone that I hear is looking for a new furry family member.
