I first went to the SHE Will Foundation Community Clothing Closet because I felt I had a need. I wanted to work out but once I got out of the military I got rid of all my running shoes. The lack of sneakers was an excuse for not working out. I was told about SHE Will Foundation weekly clothes closet. I felt a little apprehensive at first but those volunteers made me feel comfortable. I found a few pair of running shoes and I appreciated how I was not made to feel inadequate for seeking help. I understood what SHE Will Foundation meant when they said they help women In Crisis. Everyone might not have the same type of crisis but if that individual feels like her situation is her personal crisis they do not try to argue with them. I was so impressed with what SHE Will Foundation stands for that I went back and became a volunteer. I like the thought SHE Will Foundation does not discriminate with a person’s economical background, nor personal experiences but are willing to assist those who ask for their assistance during their time in need. They realize when a person ask for assistance no matter how big or small the situation is they should listen and see where they can be that helping hand they need at that time. I will continue to volunteer at SHE Will Foundation because I believe in what they are doing.
