SoSA is a great organization to work with. A Few years ago I had a surplus of pears on my "hobby" farm and they sent some kind folks over right away and gleaned 150 lbs. of fruit. This was a small quantity to be bothered with but they came and did a great job even notifying me afterwards how the produce was used.
Since then I have only been able to contribute financially but this is a well run charity that is worth your money, time or food surplus.
