OI is one of the best run nonprofits around. There is clear linkage between what they promote on their website and outcomes they achieve. Their overall administrative costs are low and I feel the contribution we make each month is being utilized effectively to support their mission of helping those in situations of abject poverty help themselves by creating sustainable solutions as communities. Their model of participatory human development (PHD Process) is the best out there and increasingly sought after by other organizations. There are larger organizations but not better run, focused, or impactful organizations than OI. If you want your contributions to make a big difference consider contributing to this organization. Barb and I have been contributing for over 30 years.
