SuitUp is one of the most powerful non-profits I’ve ever experienced. It teaches students around the world about life outside of the classroom. I’ve participated in many of their events - from in-person corporate events to virtual COVID events to their signature Battle of the Boroughs. Every time I’m amazed with the students’ ideas, desire to learn and appreciation for the experience. In one instance, a student approached me after a competition and told me that he wasn’t going to initially come today for a variety of personal reasons, but decided to show up. He then went on to say that the experience totally changed his perspective on what is possible. He was unsure and nervous about the world after the classroom. He said the competition helped him realize that business is accessible … that he can use his math skills to help perform financial work for his favorite company, Nike. He was truly amazed at all of the professionals, who took their time to teach him about unit economics, income statements, marketing strategy, and many other concepts. My wish is that more students will share in this powerful experience as our students are our leaders of tomorrow. Together we can make the world a better place and I believe part of that starts with SuitUp.
