The Heroes Circle has been a wonderful support program for my son Keegan and I. When we joined this organization about a year or so ago; my focus was on my son. He deals with anxiety and sometimes it affects him in ways that I can’t help with. After meeting the other parents in the program I ways able to open up about my own struggles with being a survivor of Leukemia (ALL). I realized Kids Kicking Cancer wasn’t all about kids with cancer. Through KKC my son is learning how to cope on his own when he’s triggered by using breathing exercises. Through KKC I am able to let others help Keegan so that I can focus on myself. The help, opportunity, growth, love, fun, support etc. is endless in the Heroes Circle.
