Donating books to a book drive is a great way to promote literacy and provide access to reading materials for those in need. When I first learned about the African Library Project, I wondered how I might send books to Africa. But, When I started out looking around their website, I was quite inspired by the testimonies of the donors and the journeys the books took to get to the libraries. The ALP staff is very helpful and prompt with their responses. It's an excellent way to reuse the books rather than just leaving them to gather dust. I have given 2000 books to 4 libraries thus far, and I intend to give even more in the coming years.
