My dad introduced me to Mountain Biking in middle school. It was my escape to enjoy the outdoors.

As I started high school, I got involved with the SRV Mountain Bike team in the NorCal league!

I am so grateful for the lifelong - memories of time spent at practices and races - lessons learned from coaches that cared about my positive development both on the bike and in life - friends that continue to do life together!

Memories - I will never forget racing freshman year. A completely new experience standing at the starting line with 60 other riders! The adrenaline at the start line is like no other!
Lessons - Both tires were flat! A half-mile run to the finish line taught me the value of perseverance and strength. In life, I have found that not everything always goes as planned.
Friends - I met many great people while Biking in high school, but I am truly grateful for the lifelong community that has been provided as I meet new people biking in adulthood.

I give to NICA to ensure other students across the country have the opportunity to experience positive encouragement through mountain biking! #GetMoreKidsOnBikes
