Kenya Connect was created by and for the Kenyan community, and works tirelessly to benefit the country. The work that this organization does is absolutely vital to the community. The Girl-Boy Empowerment Program that was implemented in response to the increase in teen pregnancy following COVID-19 has been extremely impactful. Through this program, children are taught about age appropriate sexual health information, body autonomy, consent, boundaries, and healthy relationships. Teen pregnancy rates have decreased dramatically as a result in the schools in which the program was implemented. Responding to the community's needs, Kenya Connect has added a parent component to the program to ensure that entire families are liberated through education. Kenya Connect is well-loved by the community due to its commitment and follow-through. I'm looking forward to see what Kenya Connect accomplishes next.
