Review for Journalism And Women Symposium, Grandville, MI, USA

As a young journalist, JAWS gave me a fellowship to attend the annual symposium, where I made invaluable connections in my field. I have been a member of other professional journalism organizations, like SPJ, but have found JAWS to be the most nurturing of young talent, and the fastest to adapt to the changing media landscape.

The annual symposium provides opportunities for female journalists that cannot be found anywhere else. It offers training to journalists at all stages in their careers, and continues this organization's ongoing dialogue about what it means to be a woman working in the media.
