Review for Grist Magazine, Inc., Seattle, WA, USA
As a writer and teacher, I have found Grist to be an astoundingly useful and inspiring source of news and opinion about issues that I, and my students, care about. The site keeps me informed about transportation issues, which has been the focus of my writing in recent years. I teach high school juniors who must write a research-based argument paper as a graduation requirement. Many of them choose topics related to the environment and on consumer and political issues on which Grist is a reliable, informative, and importantly, in my view, nonprofit source.
