The Art4Healing certification program allowed me time for self-reflection, self-discovery and growth. I looked forward to each workshop and the opportunity to take quiet time for myself, something I do not have a great deal of in my life. It also made me aware of my desire to be creative and the joy that came along with that discovery. After the completion of each workshop, I displayed each of my art pieces around my home, in windowsills, over doorways, on tables, filling my space with color, which also brought me much joy. I gave two of my “prayer” pieces as gifts to my dear friends who are going through health and life challenges. They were both touched by this personal gift, as I was moved to share it with them. At the completion of my final workshop, my partner, Jim pieced together all of my canvases out on the driveway and photographed them as one piece of art. He plans to make one large canvas out of them to display on open wall in my home. Having the ability to share the Art4Healing workshops with others is truly a gift.
