I have been sponsoring a child through Children International for the last 11 years. At one point I sponsored 2 children at the same time, but one of the children graduated and I just have the young man now. I can truly say that this sponsorship has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. I have developed a very special relationship with my sponsored child over the years and I love him just as much as my own birth children. If this is an idea that you are contemplating, I say "Go for it" - you won't regret helping a child and watching them grow up with a better quality of life due to your loving-kindness.
