Extremely effective, creative, generous and caring nonprofit. Builds teen leadership skills through teaching how to grow and cook healthy organic food, serves lower-income adults with medically-tailored meals and organic groceries, partners with other organizations to expand its reach. I’ve volunteered with them for several years and have been very impressed with their mission and how they meet it. Highly recommended!

I have a lifetime of experience both working and volunteering for nonprofits. Ceres is by far the best-run, most forward-thinking and inspiring organization I have worked with. It is enormously satisfying to play a small weekly role--whether chopping vegetables, packaging meals, or making deliveries to clients—because I know my contribution helps an impressive organization meet its mission to provide healthy meals while nurturing teen leadership. Plus it's always fun to be in the kitchen with other volunteers and the amazing Ceres chefs.
