I’ve been volunteering with ATOU for 5 years now. Shuffling large groups of elementary students can take a bit but the smiles and sincere interest of the children leaves me happy. Recently one of our speakers had the kids and the volunteers laughing with his descriptions of the adjustments he’s had to make so that he can continue his outdoor adventures even though he’s now a paraplegic. Challenged but not disabled.
