No Limits for Deaf Children is a program that I cherish so much! I began as a volunteer in 2007, and I’m still working with them today. As a deaf person and DHH professional, No Limits has invited me to be involved in various aspects of the organization. I started by unpacking boxes of materials for their theater performances. Since then, I have been a cast member in shows, a volunteer, a Junior Board Member, a yoga instructor, a tutor, and a coordinator of regional No Limits events. The team at No Limits is passionate about helping deaf and hard of hearing children - and their families - succeed in every way. Want a community of other parents to talk to? They’ve got it. Want a summer program with various options for your child? Already done. Want a magic show or golf classic? They’ve got that, too! All of these options exist because of the dedication of its founder and Executive Director, Michelle Christie. She has assembled a team of professionals and volunteers, parents and guest speakers who give their all to the children. I can’t say enough good things about this organization that is so near and dear to me. All I can say is: check it out and see for yourself! You won’t regret it.
