I am horrified to realize the number of Unclaimed Veterans' cremains in Arizona mortuaries and funeral homes, box after box, all lying on dusty shelves. Some are Spanish American War veterans! Thanks to the Arizona arm of the Missing in America Project, more than a thousand veterans, spouses and dependent children have been located, qualified and given a decent and honorable burial. They are claimed at last by the country they served. Brilliant work! And it continues.
