My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Keshet Inc, Jamaica Plain, MA, USA
Keshet is a remarkable and essential resource to the Jewish community - as a straight allie who has supported other GLBT organizations for years, it's about time we got with the program! The leadership and staff of Keshet bring innovation and creativity to their work, along with an inclusive and joyous approach. In the past several years they have succeeded in developing many of the necessary tools for building awareness, strengthening education, and promoting action on GLBT issues in our community.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
educating members of the Jewish community through presentations at large gatherings and more intimate events for funders.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
build strong alliances with Jewish and non-Jewish activists working on GLBT issues unaware of the existence of Keshet.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
meeting their executive director and founder, appreciating their work product, celebrating their creativity in producing special events and promoting new forms of engagement.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
outstanding!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
insure that all congregations, Jewish community centers, and educational and cultural institions had the necessary budget, staff, and programs to support GLBT members of our community.
Ways to make it better...
I had more time to integrate their work into my own within the mainstream Jewish community. Looking forward to the next best opportunity.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the current funding climate.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I have been particularly moved at how this organization has gone about its work, with dignity and humility in the face of ignorance and years of neglect from a human rights and social justice perspective.
