WRIM is a great help and support for families with special needs members. They provide support and counseling to parents and family members from experts that have firsthand experience and knowledge with the challenges facing their situations. They also have events that people can bring their families to and feel welcome and not ostracized. I have volunteered for this organization for several years and have seen the powerful impact that they have.
