I have been volunteering for The Brittany Foundation for many years I chose this organization because they are small grass roots dog rescue and sanctuary. Nancy Anderson is the founder and they specialize in senior, special needs and harder to place dogs. They welcome the dogs that other people and rescues have passed over. They also have many dogs that find their "Forever Homes".
For the dogs that don't get adopted their forever home is the sanctuary of the Brittany Foundation. The core group of volunteers provide love, bonding, training and daily walks for all the dogs.
Every dollar donated goes toward the care of the dogs and I have witnessed Nancy go without to make sure the dogs are provided for.
