I volunteer for K9P4P for the past 2 years. In that time, I have witnessed Veterans walk through our doors, on their first day they would not make eye contact or give a greeting. As the 6 months of training progressed, so did the Veteran and their battle buddy. On the final day of graduation, the Veteran and their battle buddy were a confident team, the Veterans would be smiling and would greet us the dogs would patiently walk with their handler, both ready to watch each other's 6 .
