ASPSF serves a population that reaches and teaches the deepest corners of our hearts. As a former employee, I have had the opportunity to advocate for single parents in a part of the state that is traditionally underfunded. Being that needed resources for the students and families motivated me to all that I could do to act as a catalyst for change that would potentially change the narrative of what it means to be a single parent. This is why I found the value in volunteering after leaving my position with ASPSF...to continue rewriting the story with our single parents.
