I'm a program instructor at Girls Incorporated and I was lucky enough to come across this wonderful program, geared toward the middle school girls! It is a fun, doodle book that covers so many topics that are so hard to open conversations about. I think it has helped them to build confidence and find their true inner self and helps them to de stress and unwind on a hard day. Our kids have been through so much and if you have teens struggling with who they are, bad attitudes, getting bullied, or just want to be able to communicate and build bonds these books are the perfect starting point to just that! I never dreamed I would have the heart to heart talks with some of these teens, but this book seems to work a magic that makes everyone feel safe and valued. If you have teens struggling with challenges that life throws at all of us, then give these a try! So thankful for all the kind donors who make these types of things possible!

Free2Luv has been such a huge help with having meaningful conversations with the teens. It has been so much fun getting to know things about one another, that usually people don't discuss or go into details about. There was one activity in our expressit book, where you got to draw and describe your inner self. We had so much fun with this one, laughed until we cried. The teens enjoy sharing the doodles they've done and what they've written down. It is also so nice to have them open up and talk so freely with one another and staff members. I think when you have a teenaged girl, who asks are we doing our special program every time she sees me, means it is making a difference and designed with kids in mind. It isn't often we see kids actually excited about something besides a cell phone. This is something I hope we can continue to have as a program here at Girls Inc.
