I am Gabriel Agyei, a first year Medical Imaging student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science of Technology (KNUST) and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI).
Educational Pathways International has kept me on my toes with my academics since a poor performance will lead to the forfeiture of the scholarship. With this in mind, it has made me to be consistent with my books making sure I do not fall below the required Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA). Not only has it impacted me academically but it has also welcome me into a family of high achievers who yearn to reach the highest. Since my financial burden has been taken away from me I now have the peace of mind to study.
I chose the Medical Imaging programme because I have always been fascinated about the human anatomy and how it operates. My Medical Imaging programme gives me a view of the anatomy in a more technical way by using modalities or machines to diagnose a disease for the clinician to know how to treat it.
During my school times especially on vacation I will be doing my internship at the hospital in my community in order to learn the practical aspect of my programme. During those times also I will be mentoring other students in their personal and professional journey. After a successful completion of my programme and also while in school, I will mobilize people in my community who are well established to raise funds to steer development especially in health and education.
My utmost gratitude goes to Educational Pathways International for reducing the financial burden on me. Without Educational Pathway International I wouldn't have had the peace of mind to concentrate on my books and also meet other people whose mindset are geared towards the development of Ghana and the world at large.
