Review for Pa Caring for K-9's, New Oxford, PA, USA
The approval process was rather quick in comparison to other agencies we've looked into in the past. Within less than a month we were approved and had a meet and greet with a furry friend. Unfortunately, it was not a good match. The furry friend was aggressive on numerous occasions, including toward the vet at his 1st appointment. We were looking into behavior training when the final star was me being bit for holding my son's hand. The reason for the 2 stars is because of how the situation was handled after. My husband and I have received several condescending emails after sharing we needed to surrender the furry friend back to the rescue. The day after we surrendered the furry friend, he was up for adoption again. Great! He will hopefully find his perfect fit home! But the description was extremely misleading, saying nothing about the aggression. My husband commented on the post just so potential adopters would be aware. This resulted in both him and I being removed and blocked from their Facebook group. Seems to keep their hiding something. They don't give honest descriptions and want to sweep aggression under the rug. We have no ill-will what so ever. But because they have a guilty conscious and don't want their little secret of fake advertising to be exposed, they block any type of honest seekers from the group. Beware if the dog you adopt is not a perfect fit you will not be able to adopt from their agency again. Doesn't seem to me like an agency that really truly wants to help dogs find a furever home, they just want a quick home and don't want to hear if it's compatible or not.
