I've donated to the Elephant Sanctuary for well over 10 years now. During that time, I have been able to volunteer there 3 different times. Each time I am able to see how the donations are used. The care the elephants receive is outstanding. The caregivers are so knowledgeable about the ones in their care and love to discuss the elephants' various personalities, likes, dislikes, and diets.
The Sanctuary also partners with other elephant sanctuaries and shares the knowledge they have acquired.
The future projects they have planned, will make this Sanctuary even better. As more elephants age, there is a need for places like this. They are also working with zoos to tackle the issue of how to care for the elephants in their care and enrich their environment.
