Big Brothers Big Sisters is a grant recipient of the Stratton Community Foundation. This funding has allowed us to develop a now thriving peer mentoring program designed to pair high schoolers with elementary/middle schoolers. Peer mentoring provides a positive peer role model for the younger student and the opportunity for older students to develop team building and leadership skills. These relationships help to ease the transitions between elementary/middle and high school and support the social/emotional health of students paired in the program. This program has flourished under the support of the Stratton Community Foundation. They are not only funders, but real partners that love to be involved with the work at hand.
