My son Gabe was involved with BEST robotics at LASA Highschool on the robotics team for 3 years in Austin, Tx. I can say as a result of this experience he is a incredible success in his sophomore year at Georgia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering. Further he applied for co-ops after his freshman year at GaTech and received 6 offers and is now co-oping for Mercedes Benz in Alabama as well. BEST robotics gave my son leadership, team work, high level problem solving and the confidence to succeed. I also was a board member of the robotics team at LASA and witnessed the incredible mentoring and shadowing that occurs amongst teachers, team members and parents. And as a professional counselor specializing in learning differences for 20 years I can tell you that programs such as BEST give students, families and communities the skills to engage and find real success that transfers directly into the real world of college and careers.
