ZainabAduah
Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA
I am the person of Zainab Abagpoka Aduah, a student of the University for Development Studies (UDS) in the northern region of Ghana. I am currently in my final year and I am pursuing BSc. Agribusiness. I must say I feel highly fulfilled as I am about to gain my first degree in Agribusiness, it has always been my dream to become an entrepreneur in the Agricultural sector and that is almost a reality and Educational Pathways International (EPI) is a major contributor to this achievement.
It was almost an impossibility for me to continue my tertiary education due to the financial challenges my family faced due to the covid’19 pandemic which led to the loss of job of my guardian and the loss of my aunt who was the main source of income for the family until EPI showed me light at the end of the tunnel by offering me a full scholarship and giving me an opportunity to achieve my dreams. It is very obvious that I would have probably stopped schooling if it wasn’t for the help of Educational Pathways International (EPI).
I have since had a peaceful and stable mind to concentrate fully on my academics as I didn’t have to do part-time jobs in order to fend for myself. I wasn’t just given a scholarship but also guided through my personal endeavors and social life as a young lady growing with potentials by dedicated personnel made available by EPI. This privilege also enabled me participate in extra curriculum activities which include vying for the position of Women Commissioner in my department at school and was successful while I was in my second year of studies, I further went in for the position of Central Students Representative Council (SRC) Secretary in my third year of studies and emerged successful.
As I am about to complete, I am determined to give back to society in my best capacity and as I have benefited from EPI, I want others to also benefit from my education and success. With EPI, I knew that I could achieve all my dreams and bring out the best in me for the benefit of myself, family, community and the country at large. I made it through my stay in school with so much ease and this is so because of the timely intervention of Educational Pathways International’s scholarship and the amazing part of it all is that the only requirement you need to remain a beneficiary of EPI is to work hard make excellent grades and bring the best out of yourself.
I decided to study Agribusiness because I personally hail from an agriculturally based community where the main source of income is agriculture, I also believe that the backbone of every developing country is agriculture and Ghana is not an exception. Most of the farmers in my community especially are still relying on the indigenous methods of rearing livestock and cultivating crops which is the main reason for low productivity. I wish to help my community improve on their methods of farming in order to increase crop yield and solve the problem of food and nutrient insecurity in my community and the country at large. And with my knowledge in agribusiness and value chain analysis, I would be able to effectively and efficiently transform agricultural practices in my immediate community and the country at large.
On this note, I want to say a very big “THANK YOU” to Educational Pathways International for the good work they are doing to support the education of many needy student including myself. I am grateful and highly honored.
