Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA
My name is Abigail Adubea Mantey, a first year student at the University of Ghana, Legon. I study BSc. Administration. My life has been witnessing tremendous experiences and opportunities since my award of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship at the University of Ghana Legon.
EPI takes care of all my financial needs comprising of my academic fees, residential fees, books and pocket money. This has gone a long way to help me study in comfort and boost my morale and confidence to work towards a better future for myself. I have also been able to maximize my university experience through service, learning, volunteer opportunities, our monthly EPI scholars’ seminars and internships.
I opted to study Bachelor of Science in Administration and major in Accounting because I want to make myself useful to the benefit of the society and not limit myself to a particular sector. As an Accountant, skills that has been learnt over the years in schools would be put into practice not only in financial institutions such as banks, but from the entertainment sector, to the health sector, then the teaching sector. Also, a degree in BSc. Administration would pose an opportunity for me to further my education by undertaking a professional course giving me the mandate of becoming a Chartered Accountant and possessing the qualities of working worldwide.
Before I further my education, I wish to work in the banking and finance sector, import and export businesses, governmental and non-governmental Organizations, and venture into entrepreneurship with the main aim of presenting financial statement and making profit so as to support my family, my community and the society at large and gain experience with my degree in BSc. Administration majoring in Accounting.
I want to thank EPI for their investment in students like me. I hope to give back to the community someday and help some students reach their educational goals with a scholarship and any other means possible.
