Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Educational Pathways International (EPI), as a comprehensive and philanthropic organization, recognizes and extends support to needy and gifted students in some public universities in Ghana. The beginning of 2021/2022 academic year at the University of Ghana, I was privileged to be awarded Educational Pathways International Scholarship.
The EPI Program has shaped and imparted many aspects of my educational journey. The scholarship, which is a comprehensive scholarship for its beneficiaries has eased my stress and burden, in order to have a smooth journey in my education. Through our mandatory monthly meetings, I have been encouraged to excel in my academics and guided on how to strategize my time and resources to achieve my academic feet.
Apart from the encouragement to pursue academic excellence, the EPI program allows beneficiaries to compulsorily take up internship opportunities in line with their program of study to be abreast with the required skills in the job market. Through this initiative, I have been able to pick up skills in audit and processing of audit reports internally within the organization.
Also, the soft skills acquired through our monthly meetings have impacted my life positively. Apart from the academic skills and internship opportunities, soft skills are inculcated in beneficiaries of which I am no exception. I learnt public speaking skills, an important skill required of every individual, have been briefed and educated to beneficiaries. In summary, EPI extends helping its beneficiaries positively beyond the normal academic achievement hallmark.
BSc. Administration provides the needed skills and knowledge in all areas of business fields. The field openly educate students who have signed up for the program in the first two years, educating us on all aspects in finance, management principles, fundamentals of accounting, psychology, and other important academic writing courses. The rest of the two years to complete the program is left to be majored in a student’s selected area. I pursued Accounting with the objective of fulfilling my dreams of becoming a Chartered Accountant in order to create value for corporations through corporate reporting and making of value judgments.
Majoring in Accounting was something I got the inspiration from my late mother. As a trader, she usually kept records of her clients who bought her clothes, both on cash and credit basis. That inspiration made me take the bold step of pursuing Accounting to channel the same energy into the corporate world.
My community and many other communities are degrading the value of education and the need to pursue high level of education. ‘Education is the most powerful weapon that can change the world’ as quoted by the late Nelson Mandela. As an advocate for high level of education, it would be my goal of encouraging members of our community to value the acquisition of knowledge and the pursuit for higher level of education without being gender discriminatory. On the national level, my aim is to create value to corporations that will generally help the progress of the country through tax fulfilment and undertaking fulfilling philanthropic activities.

My heartfelt appreciation goes to EPI generally, for believing in my dreams and dreams of all other beneficiaries under the programs.
