I did my social internship with Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan for one month as a part of my MBA curriculum. I was a great organisation to work with. The NGO works to eradicate illiteracy, poverty, violence against women and social evils by ensuring empowerment of women and girls from deprived and marginalized communities. First I had an introduction about the work done by the NGO and then my project was defined. I worked in HER VOICE: Stop violence against women in India and Pathshala - Value based education. These projects have been going on for a while and I was able to see the impact the NGO was having among the marginalised communities of Ajmer. I visited the street slums to conduct workshops on Violence against women and taught school curriculum, hygiene and basic discipline to the margnalised girls of the Pathshala. The NGO CEO and the staffs were very supportive and helped me to learn a lot throughout the project duration. I am very thankful to the NGO for giving an opportunity to work with the marginalised communities of India.
