Review for India Development and Relief Fund (IDRF), N Bethesda, MD, USA
I have a long relatioship with India Development & Relief Fund and Dr Vinod Parkash. I had donated a large sum to IDRF for a specific project in the 2004. I was very impressed with IDRF's flawless execution of the grant and watching the project being built and the donation used for the purpose it was granted for. Very professional with a minimal overhead, so the donation to IDRF gets to the ultimate benefactor with almost no reduction in value.
I am also President of NAJC a smaller 501(c)(3) charitable organization and seek Dr Vinod Parkash's guidance about different operational parts of such an organization. His guidance has been invaluable and I am very much obligated to IDRF.
Recently NAJC received a substantial sized unexpected contribution for a specific project. I and Board of NAJC thought it to be prudent to transfer that contribution ans use the services and experience of IDRF to channel that contribution to the designated project. IDRF required supporting documents of the project and will occasionally inspect the project making sure the contribution is used properly. What more can you expect from a charity besides your contribution is used for the purpose it was intended for?
