I was given the amazing opportunity to volunteer with Blanca's House as a Nurse Anesthesia student. The anesthesia team not only provided excellent anesthesia services to the patients but also took me under their wing during this time. The knowledge I gained in the course of 3 days, caring for 41 surgical patients was invaluable. This was my first medical volunteering experience, and I did not have any idea what to expect. Blanca's House far exceeded anything I could have imagined. When the reality would hit me that I was working with such an amazing group of individuals I was so overwhelmed with gratefulness. I cannot wait to return and volunteer alongside such a beautiful community of individuals. This organization is supported by individuals whose passion for quality care goes far beyond the bedside.
