I looked online for a bonded pair of small dogs anywhere in Oregon, and I got a hit for Sanctuary One, advertising a bonded pair of terriers. From my first email to them, through their excellent application (I worked for an animal shelter and feel this was a great application compared to what I am used to), their request for photos of our yard and fence (since we were at a distance), and telephone calls, it was a great experience. They did what I wish all animal rescues and shelters would do, checking us out thoroughly, including references. We were so happy we were approved for this pair and the dogs were exactly how they described - very bonded, really active playing, but able to relax too, great on leash - they were the perfect dogs for us. Their fee for all this was very reasonable compared to other Oregon rescues, so we were also happy to make an extra donation to their Sanctuary.
