"The soul, or the consciousness, desires the Light.
It comes to the vessel.
..And when
it goes... we tend to, in ignorance and delusion, chase around physical nourishment because we believe that that will somehow satisfy or satiate the higher soul..
Sex, food, drink, drugs, control, power, knowledge.
It doesn't help us.

If desire and the Light's interaction with the vessel isn't understood then we're going to spend a lifetime in constant suffering from it.
The mystical path is to understand and become awakened to the fact that there is another yearning, and that yearning is for Light
It nourishes the upper soul, and that's really what we're looking for."
