I have been a volunteer for Assistance League of Kansas City for over 25 years. I am so proud of the unique programs we provide for children and adults in our community, from our Assault Survivor Kits® program to Operation School Bell® program to Senior Outreach Services program (plus six other wonderful programs). We are truly a unique nonprofit organization, as we are all volunteers and are passionate and dedicated to helping residents in our community. For years I have been asked why I volunteer, and my answer remains the same: I began volunteering with ALKC because I wanted to help others and make a difference, and who knew I would make so many friends along this journey! It truly is a fantastic place to volunteer!
