Review for Forever Husky, Inc., Crystal Lake, IL, USA
This purported "husky rescue" is celebrating the Iditarod on their social media channels--an extreme, 1000 mile event in which huskies are compelled to race an untenable number of hours a day, with limited sleep and virtually no protection from the elements. Unsurprisingly, the Iditarod has an extended, well-documented history of husky injury, abuse, and death--such that no organization committed to rescuing huskies could responsibly champion it.
Worse yet, Forever Husky deletes concerns about the Iditarod, and their support for same, from their social media channels--precluding their large social media following from learning just how unsafe and abusive this event is for many of its canine participants. I'd strongly recommend working with the many other shelters and rescues out there who are actually committed to husky welfare. By celebrating the husky abuse that is the Iditarod, this organization shows that they do not have the best interest of this breed at heart.
