In 2022 we actually didn’t know about Terry at ARM. We were looking to rescue a horse for my daughter to learn on and we went to another “so-called” rescue nearby. The horses were drugged acting, dribbling and falling over and malnourished. The lady showing us the horses was very rude and had no passion for the horses just wanted a quick sale. We left heartbroken. On our way back something told me to look for other recuses in the area. However, being a Sunday I had very low hopes anyone would help us. We ended up calling Terry at ARM and explained our situation and she was very helpful and sympathetic to our situation and told us we could come over that day (we were only 15 minutes from them) to look at the horses and even if she did not have what we needed she would help us find the perfect horse. When we got there we immediately noticed how healthy the horses looked and how clean and maintained the property was and was greeted with friendliness and knowledge. They had so many I wanted to take home. They had a variety of ages,color,and skill levels. I loved the fact that she was willing to help us find the perfect horse and didn’t want to mislead us and sell us any horse just to make a dollar. We fell in love with one Terry had on the property and she went home with us that day!! Rumor has been the most loving and sweetest baby and we just feel complete to have her in our family and we are so grateful to Terry and everyone at ARM. They truly opened their arms to us and are very knowledgeable and really care about what they do and their horses!!
