Review for Big Apple Greeter, New York, NY, USA
My teenaged daughter and I visited NYC in February 2006. It was our first visit and we really wanted to make the most of it. I became aware of Big Apple Greeters during a web search for things to do in NYC. Via our application, we were thoughtfully paired with a lovely Greeter. Her name was Ellen and she showed us how to use the subway system, she took us to a famous Deli for lunch (from When Harry Met Sally fame), and she showed us all around Chinatown. We enjoyed her company very very much. Apart from her and her most genuine love for NYC (and people in general), I think the most valuable service provided by Big Apple Greeters is to take the mystery out of NYC (especially the transit systems) and allow visitors to make the most of their trips. I now recommend them to anyone I know who is travelling to the city (first tiem visitors or not). We cannot wait to go back!!
