Review for Cancer Schmancer Foundation, Malibu, CA, USA
Fran Drescher never ceases to amaze! She took cancer and turned it on its head! Fran was diagnosed with uterine cancer back in 2000. She is a survivor but refused to but her past behind her. She took this experience and used it to create what I believe to be one of the best cancer foundations: Cancer Schmancer. Born in 2007, in only a short time Fran has been successful in putting this important issue on the map, like getting Johanna's Law passed and organizing fund raising events. She has been successful in teaching us that we need to listen to our bodies and be our own advocates. She will stop at nothing to ensure that cancer be diagnised in Stage 1 when it is most curable. The Cancer Schmancer Foundation website is filled with articles and other wonderful information that helps us better understand cancer and our bodies and keeps us updated on the lastest ways to keep ourselves healthy as well as ways to help contribute to this important cause. Fran has taken a negative and turned it into a positive through an organization that has become essential to kicking cancer in the butt. Thank you Fran for sharing your experience with us so that we can join in the fight against cancer.
