Review for Arabian Rescue Mission Inc, Leitchfeild, KY, USA
This March (2023) will mark 3 years since we adopted our daughter's Arab from ARM. He had been returned 3 times and declared unrideable by each person who returned him by the time we got to him. My daughter was 13 at the time and looking for her first horse. Within 2 weeks they were wrapped around each other's hearts. We intended for her to train and compete him for dressage, but he watched her jumping another horse and made it quite clear he wanted to give it a whirl. He was a natural! They left huntseat to pursue eventing and haven't looked back. They are both currently in Ocala for intense winter work with their trainer and having the time of their lives. Not everyone can appreciate an Arab, but the ones who do, understand they bring 110% of all the sparks and all the happy and all the heart and all the love with them wherever they go! The first photo was taken yesterday after competing all 3 phases (novice) in one day. He wasn't the slightest bit phased and was ready to run the gauntlet again before dinner if someone would just let him lol.
I can't imagine what either of these two would have done without each other and am forever grateful to have found ARM. I talked to Terry at great length many times before we were able to bring Ryker home. She was so patient with my questions even long after he was ours, and we have enjoyed keeping her updated on his progress and antics! Terry has a genuine heart of gold for these horses and is doing an amazing job getting them back to a healthy state of mind and body so they can be properly matched with a bright future.
Arabs are such a deep feeling and emotional breed, so I'm thankful that someone like Terry is out there watching out for them.
There is nothing more rewarding than watching an Arab that wears his joy like a blanket for everyone to admire!! I 10 out of 10 recommend adopting from ARM!
